We are truly saddened by the news of Cedric’s passing.
What a blessing it was for me having Cedric working from that office in Bow Road Church. We did some serious thinking and much laughing! A very good friend indeed.
I do feel personally bereaved by his death. Thank you so much for sharing some of him with us at Bow.
Near to the centre of Milton Keynes we have a sculptural piazza composed of granite columns – each one dedicated to a person, event or issue. It is a place of remembrance and celebration. The 24th May column is Heartwarming Day – eg Aldersgate Day – Wesley Day. So, on the day of Cedric’s funeral I shall buy myself a red rose – attach it to the column – and then read aloud selected passages from Cedric’s books. Who cares if no one else is there for I shall not be alone! And when I say ‘passages’ I mean more than sentences! More akin to a literary festival!
